Name of Committee: HHS Weekly Bulletin Committee
When does it meet (dates and times)? The Bulletin Committee meets one time late summer to discuss the upcoming school year and set a tentative publishing schedule. During the school year discussions happen via phone or text. All other work is done via email and online.
Where does it meet? to be decided
What is the committee's purpose? The Bulletin Committee puts out the HHS Weekly Bulletin in order to keep the Hingham High School community of parents informed about the happenings at HHS. It is electronically published each weekend during the school year with a publication date of the forthcoming Monday and includes news for up to a 4-week window.
We maintain an email address ([email protected]) to collect bulletin submissions and conduct business. We produce the bulletin and manage our parent email distribution list using Constant Contact (www.constantcontact.com).
Submissions are collected from various sources including: (1) Monica Black (HHS administrator) sends HHS Daily Notices; (2) email from club organizers, teachers, and other involved individuals;(3) the HHS calendar on the HHS website (http://hinghamschools.com/hingham-high-school/);
Approximately how many volunteers are needed? Can be done with one person, but it is better to have a small group in order to provide adequate editorial coverage.
